As more details come out about the murder-suicide of Chris Benoit, his wife Nancy and his child Daniel, it
becomes apparent that something was seriously wrong with Chris.
A lot of people are up in arms about what happened. You have the ones who want to remember the wrestler
and others who call him a murderer for what he did.
I sincerely hope that he didn't do it but the evidence is piling up against that theory. What was going
through his mind? Why did he do it? What now?
Personally, when the case is closed and he did do all these terrible things, then I don't want him to be
inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Yes, he was a great wrestler. Yes, he gave the fans what they wanted.
Yes, he gave 110% of himself. And I am afraid that, yes, he did murder his family.
No matter what he did for wrestling or for it's fans, he pretty much wiped that all away when he strangled
his wife and smothered his son with, what police believe at this time, a choke hold.
Chris, I don't know what was going through your mind and what made you do what you did, but it is inexcusable.
With all that money, you couldn't get help for your problems? Some questions will never be answered on why, but some
questions are answered as far as I am concerned.
Was Benoit a great wrestler? Undoubtedly, yes.
Was Benoit headed for the WWE Hall of Fame? Again, yes.
Should Benoit be inducted after murdering his wife and son, then taking his own life? I say no.
To me what he did forever tarnishes what he did for the wrestling world. What you see on TV is not
the same person who walks out of the arena and out from in front of the cameras. No one knows what evil lurks in a man's
heart and we will never know what was lurking in Benoit's.
You can call me whatever names you feel like, you can disagree or agree with what I think should happen.
Will Benoit be inducted? Probably. Does he deserve it? Yes. Even after what he did? No.
WWE you need to be careful with this.
Chris, Nancy, Daniel, may you all rest in peace.
